Legalese: Understanding the Language of the Courts

Legalese was designed with court employees in mind. It introduces over 300 terms used in the court setting through a variety of interactive strategies. It is organized into seven, stand-alone, topical chapters: Civil Solitaire; Courtroom Terms; Crime & Punishment; Latin Lessons; Life of a Case; On Appeal; and Relationship Law. To complete all chapters requires approximately eight hours. However, it would be difficult to learn all the terms in one sitting. Viewers should consider multiple sessions to review this training.
